1967 - Jim Morrison was maced back-stage at a Doors concert by an over-enthusiastic security guard who mistook him for a fan. Morrison retaliated with verbal abuse of the officer onstage, was dragged off and gaoled.

2000 - Sharon Corr of The Corrs called for the legalization of cannabis, claiming it has medicinal properties. Sharon said, ”certainly people with certain conditions can get a brief reprieve from their symptoms through cannabis”
2001 - Channel 4 issued an apology to viewers for Madonna’s use of the word “motherfucker” during live TV coverage at The Tate gallery. A TV spokesman said they did have a bleeper system, but missed it. (The editor of The Laundromat blog apologises to viewers for the use of….. oh, forget it)
2003 - Ozzy Osbourne was hospitalised at Wexham Park, Slough, Berkshire after a quad-bike accident at his UK home. He broke his collarbone, 8 ribs and a vertebrae in his neck. News of the accident reached the House of Commons, where the government sent a goodwill message
2003 - A Celebrity Thumbprints auction took place on ebayliveauctions.com. Beyoce, Kelly osbourne, Coldplay, Blue and Westlife were among celebrities whose thumbprints were auctioned
