1959 –Chuck Berry was arrested for taking 14 year-old Janice Norine (who, unbeknown to Berry, was working as a prostitute) across a state line. Berry was sentenced to 5 years gaol but was freed after racist remarks by the judge
1961 - Decca talent scout, Mike Smith was impressed by a performance of The Beatles when he saw them play at The Cavern
1964 - The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson had a nervous breakdown during a flight from Los Angeles to Houston during a US tour. He left the band to concentrate on writing &producing. Glen Campbell took his place for the rest of the tour
1964 - Pirate radio station Radio London began regular broadcasts

Belknap shot & killed himself, while Vance blew off the front of his face. He lived for 3 years before dying of the effects of the shooting
