1961 – Raymond Jones entered a Liverpool record store to buy My Bonny, a record released in Germany by a band called The Beatles. The shop manager, Brian Epstein (some sources say he was only a clerk in the store), promised to investigate further
1962 –”Bob Dylan is not the author of ‘Blowin’ in the Wind’ “ was the claim of a high school teacher in Milburn, New Jersey. He said he wrote the piece and sold it to Bob Dylan for $1000. the truth was revealed 12 years later in a New York Times magazine article when the teacher admitted that, unable to write a protest song himself, he presented Dylan’s song as his own and started the rumour to save face

2004 – Courtney Love was ordered to stand trial on a charge of assault with a deadly weapon after Kristin King alleged Ms. Love threw a bottle and lit a candle at her after turning up at the home of a former boyfriend. She also alleges Ms. Love sat on her, pulled her hair and pinched her left breast - ”the worst pinch I ever had” - before she managed to flee
